Letters to the Editor
Sir, Harish Khare's article `Can Vajpayee tame Narendra Modi?' (March 30) gives a healing touch to the much-troubled psyche of every Indian. Mr. Khare's suggestion to the Prime Minister to visit the camps in Gujarat without Mr. Modi is sound. I am sure the Prime Minister will consider it. I found it very appropriate that he should at every stage suggest leaving Mr. Modi out of every scene, for this is precisely how the truth of the Gujarat tragedy can come out. Once this happens, Mr. Vajpayee will no doubt go about addressing the problem effectively.
