Opinion - Letters to the Editor

Not trustworthy

Sir, — Barely a day after the Pakistani President's brazen attempt to cast India as the aggressor and the party which is totally uninterested in responding to his peace overtures, the chief of the Lashkar-e-Taiba has been released and cleared of any involvement in the attack on the Indian Parliament. The basis for any relationship is trust and there is absolutely no way India can and will trust Gen. Musharraf.

It is time we call his bluff and publicise all evidence against the Pakistan government, the ISI and the various terrorist organisations behind all atrocities committed in India and against Indians. It really is time he was forced to dismount from the moral high horse he wants to be seen on.

Dabhol Pawarkatkar,
Mumbai
