The two additional frequencies from India's industrial and commercial centre has made the airline the only one to offer a daily non-stop service to Frankfurt. The Lufthansa's vice-president, Asia and Pacific, Manfred Reimer, said, ``With the introduction of our Mumbai-Frankfurt daily services, travellers from Maharashtra and Gujarat now benefit from more choices of convenient connections to Europe and beyond via Frankfurt.''The two new services are as a result of the bilateral negotiations held last year between India and Germany. The airline has added five new frequencies to India since September last year hree Bangalore-rankfurt flights (a new destination) in September 2001 and now two Mumbai-Frankfurt flights. The airline now offers 20 flights a week between India and Germany, with daily flights out of Mumbai and New Delhi and three flights each from Chennai and Bangalore. In addition, Lufthansa and Air India have a code-share agreement which enhances the cooperation between the two airlines with three code-share flights out of Mumbai and four out of Delhi.
