Togadia defies ban, holds meeting

Jaipur April 3. Defying a ban on his entry, the VHP general secretary, Praveen Bhai Togadia, today sneaked into the troubled Gangapur city of Rajasthan and held a public meeting. He entered the city in disguise, riding a motorcycle, hoodwinking the police and the administration.

Over 500 VHP activists attended the meeting. The VHP leader also met bereaved families of three people killed in police firing on March 25. A top police officer said police refrained from taking any action against Mr. Togadia and the VHP activists as this might lead to breach of peace. — PTI
