Cellular units to move SC against WiLL

NEW DELHI APRIL 11. The cellular industry today formalised its decision to approach the Supreme Court in an attempt to stop fixed phone operators from offering limited mobility through the wireless in local loop (WiLL) route. The Telecom Dispute Settlement and Appellate tribunal (TDSAT) had ruled in favour of the fixed phone operators led by the Reliance and the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Cellular operators made it clear that they were not challenging the 1999 version of the National Telecom Policy or the Government's right to change the policy.
