Cong. rally seeks resignation of Modi

HYDERABAD April 11. The Congress-I took out a procession from Gandhi Bhavan to Abids here on Thursday demanding the dismissal of Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, for his failure to control communal violence.

Addressing the gathering of party activists, Mr. Rao flayed the BJP leadership and the Sangh Parivar for inciting the communal passions in the country. AICC secretary, V.Hanumantha Rao, former CLP leader, P.Janardhan Reddy, City Congress president, M.Anjan Kumar Yadav, also spoke.

Youth Cong. dharna

Youth Congress-I activists staged a dharna in front of the Press Club at Basheerbagh protesting against the arrest of the A.P. Youth Congress president, T.Venkat Rao, at Guntur last night in connection with the raid on an electric sub-station in the district. They burnt an effigy of the Chief Minister. Among those arrested by the police were G.Rudra Raju, APYC State election officer, G.S. Seetharama Raju and P. Vasudeva Reddy.
