By Our Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI
APRIL 12.
Mauritius today offered to catalyse India's larger engagement with Africa and thanked New Delhi for backing its claim on the Chagos archipelago.
In his talks with the External Affairs Minister, Jaswant Singh, the visiting Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius, Paul Berenger, said India could expand its association with evolving African institutions, such as the New Economic Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD), the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) and COMESA. India had signed an MoU with the SADC and was planning a similar arrangement with COMESA soon.
