Constituency gearing for CM visit

THENI APRIL12. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the April 15 visit of the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, to her constituency, Andipatti, for launching development programmes.

She would lay the foundation stone for a combined Andipatti-Sedapatti drinking water scheme, inaugurate the MLA office and launch a touch-screen system and computerisation of land records. She would also disburse welfare aid to various beneficiaries.

Ms. Jayalalithaa is expected to fly to Andipatti from Madurai. A helipad has been prepared on an open ground near the Andipatti taluk office. A strong police contingent would provide security at the helipad and the function venue. A mega-size `pandal' has been put up to accommodate a large number of participants at her programme.
