Jayalakshmi, Tulpule annex doubles title

Nagpur April 12. National hard court Champion Sai Jayalakshmi and Radhika Tulpule annexed the doubles crown in the second leg of the $5,000 International Tennis Federation (ITF) women's tennis championship at the CP Club courts here on Friday evening.

The Sai-Radhika combination won the doubles finals in two straight sets beating Samrita Sekar and Archana Venketaraman at 7-5, 6-0 in 90 minutes of play.

Samrita-Archana were way ahead at 5-1 in the first set and were all set to wrap it up. However, Radhika held her crucial serve, and the combination broke into the opponents' service regularly to level at 5-5 and went on to claim the opening set.

The second set witnessed a confident Sai and Radhika dominating right from the start to notch up the set and the match in a style.
