Child welfare committees

CHENNAI April 12 . The department of Social Defence has called for applications from individuals for Chairperson and members of Child Welfare Committees, to be constituted under the Juvenile Justice Act 2000 in 18 places of the State.

Applicants must possess a degree in any of the following subjects: psychology, criminology, sociology, social work, economics, home sciences, education, politics, women studies, rural development, law or medicine. They are also required to have at least seven years experience in health, education or other rehabilitation and welfare activities pertaining to children.
