Govt. grant for scholarship

CHENNAI April 12. The Institute of Correspondence Education (ICE), Madras University, has received a cheque for Rs. 1,69,97,391 from the Tamil Nadu Government towards scholarship for 5,484 eligible SC/ST candidates who studied various courses during 1996-2001 (calendar and academic year) in the ICE.

The institute would send separate communication to the eligible candidates, its Director, A. Swaminathan, said in a release.
