SHARJAH, APRIL 15. Sri Lanka cruised to a 46-run victory over New Zealand in the Sharjah Cup on Sunday, avenging its narrow defeat by the Kiwis five days ago. Sri Lanka, which has won three of its opening four games in the tournament, made 243 for nine from 50 overs before restricting New Zealand to 197 for nine. The Kiwis lost opener Matt Horne to the first ball and despite a battling 49 from Craig McMillan never threatened to overhaul the Sri Lankan total. Reuters
