The Venus jinx continues for Henin

AMELIA ISLAND (FLORIDA) April 15. Venus Williams recovered from a set down to win the Bausch & Lomb Championships by beating Justine Henin for the third time in a row this year with a hard-fought 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 victory.

The top seed was in serious danger of losing the match on Sunday but came back to increase her winning record over the Belgian to 5-1, including a victory in the 2001 Wimbledon final.

``I have experience,'' said the American, who earned $93,000 for the win. ``Back in the past, I lost a lot of these type of matches. But then about two years ago, I got tired of the losses and of the heartbreak, so I worked to win.''

Williams, who earned her 25th career title on Sunday, trailed second-seeded Henin 2-6, 0-4, as the Belgian played the perfect match to that point.
