India languishing at ninth place

NEW DELHI APRIL 17. Indian team was languishing at ninth place with an aggregate of 13-over-par 157, after the opening day of the 24th Queen Sirikit Cup team golf championship in Malaysia.

Vandana Agarwal carded a round of six-over-par 78 while the team leader Irina Brar returned with 79. Anjali Chopra completed her round with 80 as the Indians looked far from convincing in the 12-team event.

Korea led the field with an aggregate of 136, and was followed by Chinese Taipei (139), Australia (140), Japan (142) and New Zealand (144), in that order.
