This was announced by the Deputy Election Commissioner, A.N. Jha, after the Election Commission decided the date at a meeting here today. The Goa Assembly has a strength of 40. The Commission also decided to hold byelections to three Lok Sabha and 12 Assembly seats in different States, including Saidapet, Vaniyambadi and Acharapakkam in Tamil Nadu, on May 31, Mr. Jha said.
