Powell-Arafat meet fails

Doha April 17. The meeting between the United States Secretary of State, Colin Powell, and the Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat, today was a ``catastrophe,'' the Palestinian Information Minister, Yasser Abed Rabbo, said, quoted by Al-Jazeera TV.

``The meeting was a catastrophe,'' Mr. Abed Rabbo said, according to the Qatar-based satellite channel.

``It ended with no concrete result''. — AFP
