Vessel rescued

VISAKHAPATNAM
APRIL 19.
In a daring rescue operation, the Indian Coast Guard vessels,CGS Priyadarshini and CGS Jijabai responded to a distress call transmitted by an Indonesian tanker, Tirta Naiaga VII, off the Puri coast and towed it to the Paradip port on Wednesday. The 6,257 dwt vessel, with a cargo of palmolein, was on its way from Chennai to Kolkata when it developed a snag and was adrift.
