Four Indians were among the nine labourers who survived the crash. In all, 46 persons, including the Indian driver of the vehicle, were killed when the bus carrying 55 persons skidded into a ravine off a mountainous road. The four Indian survivors being treated at the Sultan Qaboos Hospital were identified as Regar Manna Lal, a mason (Rajasthan), Kumara Lingana (Andhra Pradesh), Soulinki Manohar Rao (Andhra Pradesh) and Kesar Devasaini (Rajasthani).
