Baba stresses on Rama Nama

BANGALORE April 21. Sri Sathya Sai Baba has stressed the importance of remembering the name of Lord Rama (Rama Namasmarana) to cope with the problems and worries. Addressing a gathering at Brindavan, Whitefield here, on the occasion of Ramanavami, Sai Baba said: "People are always after money, power and positions but only constant remembrance of God can give them "Shanti" and "Sukha," he said. He said the story of Ramayana stressed on good governance where the people were happy. "The essence of Rama Rajya is lost when those who govern forget the equality and welfare of all men." Quoting the Ramayana he said: "Confidence in Rama Nama enabled Sumitra, Lakshmana's mother, and his wife, Urmila, to remain calm when calamity befell him." But today, this was not the case as people shed copious tears on hearing bad news, Sai Baba said.
