In a statement, the TNCC president, E.V.K.S. Elangovan, alleged that the ruling AIADMK transferred officials in the two constituencies after announcement of elections there. Referring to the Chief Election Commissioner, J.M. Lyngdoh's statement yesterday that the Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu would look into the complaints of code violation, Mr. Elangovan said the enquiry should be impartial. For, the EC did not act though proof was shown of code violation in the recent Andipatti byelection, in which the AIADMK leader, Jayalalithaa, successfully contested.
