Thieves strike at Guduvanchery

KANCHEEPURAM APRIL 21 . Burglars struck at a house in Meenakshi Nagar near Guduvanchery and decamped with jewellery after assaulting a couple in the wee hours today. The police said Iliyat Ahmed and his wife were sleeping when they heard some noise at 2 a.m.

When they raised an alarm, two unidentified culprits attacked Mr. Ahmed and his wife with wooden logs and snatched the jewellery.
