Letters to the Editor
Sir, The citizens of Andhra Pradesh should condemn the exercise of 260 legislators visiting foreign countries in batches. Strangely, for this jumbo trip, politicians have joined hands. K.R. Suresh Reddy (Congress), Dayakar Rao (TDP) and S.K. Lakshman (BJP) have defended themselves by saying that the tours were not pleasure trips and that they would help the State. By taking officials and mediapersons with them, the trip would not get any legitimacy. What is the need for going out of the country to find solutions to the problems of the people of the State? To solve basic problems of water and education should our MLAs go to Malaysia and China? Whether they join hands to solve our problems or not, these politicians have united to go abroad.
S.A. Srinivasa Sarma,
