Sir, Is Ms. Sonia Gandhi aware that the legacy she carries and on which she claims political acceptance also negates her credibility? The Congress massacred 3000 Sikhs and justified it. Now on what grounds does it demand the ouster of the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi? Did the party set an example earlier? Similarly also the criminals of the Mumbai blasts were allowed to leave the country during Congress rule. What was its stand on retributive justice? If the communal riots in Gujarat are something which the Opposition leaders want the Government to be made accountable for then the best would be to dissolve the Gujarat Assembly because the minorities have publicly stated that they will not vote for the BJP and if the reports of the media are not exaggerated, then no right-thinking Hindu will vote for the BJP. So, the Opposition should be happy if the Assembly is dissolved. One cannot understand why the Opposition and even some of the allies of the NDA refuse this option. Is it then all mere personal vendetta or political gimmicks to embarrass the BJP? The sole strategy of the Congress right from the beginning has been to demand the ouster of this Minister or that and stall Parliament, for every act of omission or commission by the Government. Has the Congress lost its mental balance?
