Inaugurating the facility, Antonio Faria, General Manager (Aftersales), DaimlerChrysler India, said the facilities had been designed in accordance with DaimlerChrysler AG's identity standards. He said there was growing market potential for Mercedes-Benz cars in South India and the company was exploring the feasibility of setting up additional Mercedes-Benz authorised service centres in the four states Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu to meet the objectives of its network strategy and further strengthen its dealer network. Sharath Vijayaraghavan, Vice President, Sundaram Motors, said the company was already a dealer of Mercedes Benz passenger cars in Karnataka and has state-of-the-art facilities for sales, service and spares consolidated at one sprawling location in Bangalore functioning since January 2001.
