Srinath in quarterfinals

NEW DELHI APRIL 25. Fourth-seeded Prahlad Srinath continued his good run and reached the quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Branislav Repa of Slovakia in the $10,000 ITF Futures tennis tournament in Kuwait.

However, the national hard court champion Vijay Kannan went down fighting in the pre-quarterfinals to third-seeded Hiroki Kondo of Japan 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-7 (5-7).

In doubles, Vijay and Mustafa Ghouse were scheduled to meet Musaad Al-Jazzav of Kuwait and Ramin Razixani of Iran in the quarterfinals.
