NEW DELHI APRIL 26. The Government today announced the extension of the ceasefire with the NSCN (Khaplang). Making a brief statement in the Lok Sabha, the Union Home Minister, L.K.Advani, said the agreement would come into effect from April 28. Mr. Advani said that the Government had entered into a formal ceasefire with the NSCN (K) for a period of one year from April 28 last. Based on the progress made in the discussions between the two sides, it was agreed to extend it for another year.
