Balayogi's ashes immersed in Ganga

Varanasi April 27. The ashes of former Lok Sabha Speaker, G.M.C. Balayogi, were immersed today in the holy Ganga here. Family members of Balayogi brought the urn in which the ashes were kept after performing immersion at Sangam in Allahabad.

The urn was placed at Andhra ashram in Hanuman ghat where social and political workers and officials paid floral tributes to the departed parliamentarian. Later, the family members performed puja and rituals at Raja ghat and the ashes were immersed in midstream Ganga. — UNI
