In a statement here today, Mr. Karunanidhi said that in the absence of proper bandobust, ``anti-social elements'' threw stones at PMK cadres resulting in the death of one worker and injuries to several persons. Many cars and vans, which were on their way to the meeting, were not allowed by the police beyond a point. It had become the practice of the present Government to deny adequate police force for functions organised by Opposition parties. The DMK condemned the ``partisan'' attitude of the police and expressed its sympathies to the family of the victim and to the injured, said Mr. Karunanidhi.
