RS bypolls on May 30

NEW DELHI APRIL 27. Byelections will be held in Jharkhand, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Tripura on May 30 to fill four vacanices. The notifications for the byelections will be issued on May 10 by the Election Commission. The last date for filing nominations is May 17.

Scrutiny will be held the next day and May 20 has been fixed as the date for withdrawal of candidature. The date for polling is May 30 and counting of votes will be taken up the same day, an official release said today.
