Sir, The peace march organised in Gujarat on April 28 with the efforts of the Defence Minister, George Fernandes, and participation of some of the prominent BJP leaders, including the Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, is not only a welcome step but also deserves praise. After two months of violence, the need of peace in the region has been realised. One can now hope that the march will prove a silver lining amidst an environment of hatred and violence. Akmal Ajaz Quraishi, New Delhi
