NBW against RIL executive

New Delhi April 29. In a major blow to Reliance Industries, a Delhi Court today issued non-bailable arrest warrants against its group president, V. Balasubramaniam, and sent two of its top executives to 14 days judicial custody in connection with the alleged recovery of certain classified documents from their corporate office here in 1998.

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Sangita Dhingra Sehgal, while hearing a CBI complaint against the Reliance executives under the Official Secrets Act, also rejected the bail plea of the company's vice- president, A. N. Sethuraman, and the corporate affairs general manager, Shankar Adawal, in view of the seriousness of the offence. — PTI
