Letters to the Editor
Sir, The peace march organised by the Defence Minister, George Fernandes, in Ahmedabad was an addition to the series of yatras proffered earlier by BJP leaders such as L.K. Advani. The march helped in creating a sense of security in the mind of the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, and to console him from the mental agony he is suffering from demands to replace him. The yatra, however, is a mockery of the democratic process and has not helped to create a sense of security among the people of Gujarat. H. Ravikumar Pai, Kochi
