Sir, The peace march led by George Fernandes was ridiculous as no NDA ally had come forward to do anything when Gujarat was burning during and after the Godhra incident. Now the allies arev talking earnestly about peace as their career is on the verge of collapse. It only shows that the NDA is serious only about power. The march, instead of promoting communal harmony, echoed political differences and deepened the feeling of alienation among the minority community. When the whole issue was centered around Narendra Modi, it was an irony to see him among the peace marchers. If Mr. Fernandes wanted to restore peace, he should have conducted the march without Modi, whose presence would only infuriate the minorities. Devanath. R, Tirupati
