Letters to the Editor
Sir, This is with reference to Hilda Raja's letter `The Congress Legacy' (April 24). The so-called legacy of massacre of Sikhs has not in any way stopped the Sikhs from choosing the Congress to rule their State. Moreover, no Congress leader had justified the massacre of Sikhs in sharp contrast to the view of Narendra Modi that the Gujarat developments were a reaction to the Godhra carnage. Massacre of Sikhs and the Bombay blasts were heinous acts of the worst order. However, the criminal acts indulged in by the marauding men of Gujarat are even more heinous. The entire nation, excepting the die-hard members of the Sangh Parivar, is filled with revulsion and demands the ouster of Mr. Modi. One cannot but strongly disagree with Ms. Hilda Raja when she chooses to attribute motives for this demand of the Congress. J.R.C. Raja, Bangalore
