The delegation, organised by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, coincides with the annual meeting of the IGCC with around 350 representatives of the German industry on June 4 which will be addressed by Disinvestment Minister, Arun Shourie. An IGCC release says METAV 2002 will showcase the entire spectrum of manufacturing technologies for the metalworking industry, namely, machine tool, precision tools, automation, components and systems. The IGCC Regional Director, Ajay Singha, says the delegation aims at seeking business cooperation partner, examining knowhow and technology transfer and also a look at state-of-the-art technologies offered at the fair. The 15 member delegation will visit the Flender Winergie factory at Friendrichsfield, one of the most modern gear unit assembly works in the world, and the Gildermeister factory at Bielefeld, world renowned manufacturer of CNC lathes and turning machines. It will also interact with Zenit, an organisation of the German government for promotion of small and medium enterprises, to discuss business possibilities between Indian and German SMEs, the release says.
