MLA demands more buses for Mylapore

By Our Special Correspondent

CHENNAI May 2 . The `temple' constituency in Chennai-Mylapore, had inadequate bus facilities and commuters faced immense difficulties, the Mylapore MLA, K.N.Lakshmanan said in the Assembly today.

However, his plea for increasing the number of buses, plying from Mylapore to various parts of the city, and their daily trips did not find a favourable response from the Transport Minister, R.Viswanathan.

During the question hour, the Minister said, there was no possibility of increasing the trips of route no.5 for already six buses were making 96 trips on that route and it was ``more than adequate''.
