Letters to the Editor
Sir, What is happening in Gujarat today is not the sole responsibility of the BJP. All these years political parties championed the cause of the minorities to the extent that many Hindus are happy neither to support the BJP nor to embrace the Opposition theory of the non-functioning of the State Government. What everyone including the press is missing is that Gujarat is a State where 90 per cent read newspapers and are well informed. If an election is held the majority community will again return the BJP to power. Politicians to journalists must search their hearts to see how things have come to this pass. Udaya Bhaskaran, Sao Paulo, Brazil
