Letters to the Editor
The unabated violence in the post-Godhra carnage even after the admission of the censure motion and related debate in Parliament is a shame and crime. Narendra Modi still sticks to the chair. He should have submitted his resignation directly to the Governor when all fact-finding mission reports, including the media, exposed the Government. The high drama of Mr. Modi's resignation and the BJP's decision not to remove him clearly reveals the party's hidden agenda of riding on Hindutva forces which are all set to whip up communal passions. It may be recalled that in the aftermath of Indira Gandhi's assassination and anti-Sikh riots in Delhi, A.B. Vajpayee said in the 1984 election campaign that his party would never fish votes in blood. Unfortunately, the same party of which Mr. Vajpayee is at the helm of affairs is stooping to the level of fishing votes in blood. K. Krishnarjuna Rao, Narayanpur, Orissa
