It was left to them to decide whether to hold talks in the country or elsewhere, the Chief Minister said. Meanwhile, the Mizoram Chief Minister, Zoramthanga, today left for Kolkata from where he would fly to Bangkok tomorrow to hold talks with the NSCN (I-M) leadership, official sources said. This would be his second meeting with the top NSCN (I-M) leaders. A former rebel leader himself, Mr. Zoramthanga was earlier approached by both the Centre and the NSCN to broker a peace deal to solve the Naga problems. He, however, said he would not be involved in offering packages for reaching an accord and his role would be to build mutual trust between the two parties. All the political parties should strive to bring peace in the trouble-torn North-East region, he said.
