2 LeT militants shot in Delhi

New Delhi May 9. Two hardcore terrorists of the banned Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed and three others arrested in an encounter in South Delhi tonight.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), Ashok Chand, told UNI that the terrorists shot dead were Pakistani nationals and the three arrested LeT operatives were Kashmiri residents. He said the shoot-out took place in the parking lot of the Humayun Tomb in Nizamuddin area around 10 p.m.

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police had specific information about the presence of the five terrorists in South Delhi and their plans to carry out explosions in the capital.
