Chiranjeev finishes joint 24th

NEW DELHI MAY 13. Chiranjeev Milkha Singh returned a final round of one-under 71 and finished tied 24th at the 1.1 million pound Benson and Hedges International Open golf tournament at the De Vere Belfry course in Warwickshire, England, on Sunday.

Chiranjeev tallied an aggregate of one-under 287 for the tournament, which was won by Argentina's Angel Cabrera.

The Argentinean carded 69 on the final day for a winning tally of 10-under 278.

The Indian shared the place with seven others including Asian PGA Tour's 2001 Order of Merit winner Charlie Wi of Korea.

Chiranjeev had a poor start to his round dropping a shot on the par four first.

He, however, made up with a birdie on the very next hole.

Chiranjeev started the outward stretch at level-par and birdied the 12th and 15th before a bogey on the 16th handed him 71.
