Stay on Bofors case

New Delhi May 14. The Delhi High Court today stayed the Rs. 64-crore-Bofors-payoff case proceedings in the Trial Court till May 28 on the plea of the accused Hinduja brothers that the investigating agency did not follow the due procedure laid down by the law.

The court stayed the proceedings before the Trial Court after the senior advocate and former Law Minister, Ram Jethmalani, appearing for the Hinduja brothers, submitted that non-staying of the proceedings would lead to ``embarrassment to the trial court''. _ UNI
