While the first gallary will have on display the statues of Srikrishnadevaraya, Tirumala Devi, Tirumalaraya, Achyutharaya-- the Vijayanagar kings who developed the Tirumala temple during their respective regimes, the second gallry will comprise the panchaloha icons belonging to the 12, 13 and 16th century. The third gallery will have a collection of the armoury and weaponry used in the battles by different dynasties during the 17 and 18th century. The fourth gallery in the museum will be dedicated to `Daru', wooden icons. The 5th gallery will have the transplant of the dilapidated `Daru Mandapam' located at Alipiri. The last gallery will have on display a range of musical and percussion instruments of immense antique value.
Training for archakas
A special programme to train 150 persons to become proficient in the field of `archakas', temple priests got off to a religious start at the TTD's Veda Vigna Peetham, situated atop the Dharmagiri hillock, 5 km off the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara.
