Letters to the Editor
Sir, When the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, declared at one of the parliamentary debates that her party would ``fully cooperate with the Government in helping restore normality in Gujarat,'' it sounded very encouraging. Yet, she set off for Ahmedabad the very next day to begin her vituperative lectures against the Government. The sustained attacks by the Congress on every issue and non-issue raise doubts about the party's true intentions. All political parties should stop scoring brownie points and must work for the nation's welfare. Leela Krishnaswamy, Bangalore
