AIDS awareness camp organised

Pondicherry May 16 . The breakfast scheme implemented by Rotary Club of Pondicherry (Cosmos) for the last five years to enable the poor students in the VOC Government HSS here had been relieving the students of the agony of hunger, said the president of the Club B. Sampathraj Jain at a press conference here today.

Nearly 220 students were being benefited every day under the scheme.

The club has formulated a scheme to instal a projector (LCD) at the privately managed Petit Seminaire HSS and the total cost of the equipment would be Rs 2.1 lakh. which was being equally shared by the club and its international headquarters.

Health camps had been conducted to create awareness on AIDS among the vulnerable sections in Pondicherry.

Four camps had been held so far .
