By Our Correspondent

JAMMU May 16. Six of those killed by terrorists at Kaluchak on Tuesday were cremated today at the Shastri Nagar crematorium near the Jammu-Pathankot national highway. Senior Army and police officers, including the Inspector General of Police, Jammu range, P.L. Gupta, and State Ministers were present. Some of the officers broke down.

People from the neighbouring border villages as far as R.S. Pura, Samba and Vijaypur came to pay homage to the dead. The first to be cremated were Havildar Chauhan and his wife Rama Chauhan.

The four others were wives of Army personnel. The children who were killed in the attack were buried near the Army family quarters, at Kaluchak.

The toll in the massacre has gone up to 32, with a woman dying of injuries this afternoon at the military hospital, Satwari. Hospital sources said Jaswinder Kaur, wife of Havaldar Manjeet Singh, died this afternoon. Manjeet Singh died on the spot on Tuesday. Their son and infant daughter too have been killed.
