Navachethana Yatra to reach Alappuzha on May 29

ALAPPUZHA May 16. The Navachethana Yatra led by the KPCC president, K. Muraleedharan, MP, would tour the district on May 29 and 30, the DCC president, C. R. Jayaprakash, today said. Mr. Jayaprakash said various mandalam committees of the party in the district would collect Rs. 25,000 each.

The DCC secretary, Johnson Abraham, said the DCC would organise regional conventions in various parts of the district on May 18, 19 and 20 to devise strategies for making the rally a success.

The convention at Aroor, Thycattusserri, Vayalar, Cherthala and Mararikkulam North blocks would be held at the Cherthala NSS Auditorium on May 18 at 11 a.m.

The convention of Mararikkulam South, Alappuzha North, Alappuzha South, Punnapra, Ambalappuzha, Kuttanad North and South blocks would be held at the Alappuzha DCC office on May 19 at 3 p.m., he said. The convention of Haripad, Karthikappally, Kayamkulam North and South, Nooranad, Bharanikkavu, Mavelikkara, Mannar and Chengannur blocks will be held at the Kayamkulam Congress office on May 20 at 3 p.m., he added.
