STD facility restored

Srinagar May 18. STD facility to the PCOs in Jammu and Kashmir would be restored today, much to the delight of the people of the Valley.

``We have completed 80 per cent restoration work and the public call offices (PCOs) will be operational within a few hours,'' the General Manager Telecommunication (GMT), Sunil Kumar, said here. The facilities were withdrawn earlier this year for security reasons in view of massing of troops along the border by India and Pakistan. — PTI
