Gambhir (167b, 15x4) raised 138 for the opening wicket with Akash Chopra (51, 122b, 4x4) and 58 for the second with S. Sriram (45, 71b, 5x4), before falling to paceman P.W. Gunaratne. For Sri Lanka `A', off-spinner M. Pushpakumara, who got rid of Chopra and skipper Hrishikesh Kanitkar (7), was the most successful bowler. The scores: India `A' 315 and 302 for four (Gautam Gambhir 120, Akash Chopra 51, S. Sriram 45, J.P. Yadav 46 batting) vs Sri Lanka `A' 200.
