Sir, The United States' response to the recent terrorist attacks in Jammu which killed many people has exposed its double standards on terrorism. After the tragedy of September 11, one expected the U.S. to show greater sensitivity and sympathy to India, which has been a victim of cross-border terrorism for the last 12 years. By advising "restraint" to India and doing exactly the opposite whenever its interests are harmed, the U.S seems to have defined one set of rules for itself and another for others in dealing with terrorism.
